Pennsylvania Casino Revenue Flat While Online Gaming Surges 22% in October
Pennsylvania's brick-and-mortar casino revenue reached $274.5 million in October 2024, showing a minimal 0.2% year-over-year increase. Slot machines generated $200.6 million while table games brought in $73.9 million, with slots growing 4% while table games declined 9%.

Online gaming (iGaming) continued its strong performance with $186.8 million in revenue, representing a 22.5% increase from October 2023. The breakdown includes:
- Online slots: $140.8 million
- Interactive table games: $46 million
Market leaders in iGaming:
- Penn Entertainment: $69.4 million
- Boyd Gaming's Valley Forge Casino: $51.9 million
- Rivers Casino: $33.2 million
Other gaming segments faced challenges:
- Sportsbooks saw a 43% decline in hold
- Online poker revenue fell 6% to $2.2 million
- Fantasy sports dropped 21% to $2.21 million
Regulatory Updates:
- The PGCB fined two VGT operators for operating without board-credentialed employees:

- Seventeen individuals were added to the Involuntary Exclusion List:
- Five for leaving children unattended in vehicles
- Four for iGaming fraud
- Eight for various other offenses
Despite some segments showing decline, Pennsylvania's gaming market remains stable, particularly when compared to Atlantic City's 8.5% decrease in in-person play during the same period.
