The Oyo Casino in Las Vegas has joined the growing list of properties charging for parking, implementing a new fee structure through a parking app. Visitors will now pay $13 for up to three hours and $18 for each 24-hour period, potentially costing $126 for a week-long stay, excluding service fees.

Free parking on the Las Vegas Strip is now limited to:

  • Sahara
  • Treasure Island
  • Circus Circus
  • Casino Royale
  • Wynn (first 3 hours only)

Local residents can still park free for up to three hours at most Strip resorts with a valid Nevada driver's license. Some hotels offer free parking through their rewards programs for higher-tier members.

The shift away from free parking began in 2016 when MGM Resorts implemented parking fees at their properties, including Bellagio, Aria, Cosmopolitan, MGM Grand, and others. Caesars Entertainment followed suit in 2021, charging for parking at their properties such as Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, and Harrah's.

The Fashion Show Mall typically offers free parking but charges premium rates during special events, such as $50-$80 per space during the F1 Grand Prix.

This trend marks a significant departure from Las Vegas's long-standing tradition of free parking, which was standard practice from the Strip's inception until 2016. The change reflects the evolving landscape of Las Vegas hospitality, where formerly complimentary services increasingly come with a price tag.
