Live! Pittsburgh Casino Marks 4th Anniversary with $7.5M High-Limit Room, New Amenities
Live! Casino Pittsburgh is celebrating its fourth anniversary with $7.5 million in new amenities and upgrades, including a high-limit gaming lounge. As Pennsylvania's first Category 4 satellite gaming property, the casino has grown to become the state's top-performing mini-casino, generating $131.6 million in gross gaming revenue in 2023.

The recent upgrades include:
- Relocation of the poker room from upstairs to the main floor
- New 1,600-square-foot Social Club events space with full bar and fireplace
- High-limit lounge featuring three table games and dedicated bar
As a Category 4 casino, Live! Pittsburgh operates under specific restrictions:
- Maximum 750 slot machines and electronic gaming devices
- Limited to 40 table games (after paying a $2.5 million expansion fee)
- Only mini-casino to utilize the table game expansion option
The casino, operated by Cordish Companies, represents a $150 million investment that transformed a former Bon-Ton department store in Westmoreland Mall. Despite being limited in size, Live! Pittsburgh has established itself as a market leader, though Hollywood Casino York narrowly beat its table game revenue in 2023 ($16.6 million vs. $16.3 million).
General Manager Sean Sullivan emphasizes these improvements demonstrate the casino's commitment to being both a community partner and world-class gaming destination.
