JW Marriott Las Vegas Launches $75M Resort Renovation at Rampart Casino
The JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa at the Rampart Casino has announced a comprehensive $75 million renovation project coinciding with its 25th anniversary. The Summerlin-based property will undergo extensive updates to its conference center, guest rooms, and lobby areas.

The multi-year renovation will feature:
- 548 renovated guest rooms spanning 560 square feet each
- 98 rooms with walk-out and Juliette balconies
- 11 rooms and suites with walk-out terraces
- New residential-style furnishings including dining tables and couches
- Modern amenities like 65-inch smart TVs and premium coffee machines
- Desert-inspired design elements with metallic finishes
FRANK Architecture and Interiors from Calgary will oversee the transformation, which aims to enhance both aesthetics and technology throughout the property. The renovation emphasizes connecting guests with the resort's natural surroundings, including gardens, waterfalls, and koi ponds.
This strategic upgrade comes as competition intensifies in the Las Vegas locals market, particularly following the successful launch of Red Rock Resorts' Durango Casino & Resort in Southwest Las Vegas last year. The Rampart Casino, alongside Boyd Gaming's Suncoast and Red Rock's flagship property, now faces increased pressure to maintain its market position in the competitive Summerlin area.
The property, owned and operated by Hotspur Resorts, a Larco Hospitality subsidiary, represents one of Marriott's few direct casino partnerships in Las Vegas. While no completion date has been announced, the renovation demonstrates a significant commitment to maintaining the property's premium position in the local market.
