The over 6.5 goals (+105) stands out as the top betting value. Vegas leads the Western Conference in scoring and ranks top-11 in expected goals, while Detroit's defense has struggled significantly. The Red Wings sit bottom-10 in goals against, with goalie Cam Talbot allowing 15 goals in his last four starts.

Detroit's playoff hopes have plummeted from holding a Wild Card spot two weeks ago to just an 11% chance now per ESPN. While their offense has cooled during the skid, the trio of Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane combined for 12 points in their last two games.

Vegas likely starts backup Ilya Samsonov after Adin Hill played Saturday. Samsonov has surrendered at least three goals in four of his last five starts, including five each to low-scoring Chicago and Los Angeles.

Best prop bet: Pavel Dorofeyev over 2.5 shots (-135). The breakout forward leads Vegas with 27 goals and has hit this mark in four of five games. Detroit ranks bottom-10 in shots allowed.

The combination of Vegas' high-powered offense, Detroit's defensive struggles, and questionable goaltending on both sides points to a high-scoring affair. Take the over 6.5 goals at plus money.
