Chippendales dancers have filed an unfair labor practices complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) following their recent unionization with the Actors' Equity Association.

The October complaint alleges that Chippendales Entertainment, LLC engaged in union-busting tactics and retaliation, including forcing all dancers to reaudition for their positions. Several performers known to support unionization were reportedly dismissed during this process.

Actors' Equity Association president Brooke Shields condemned these actions as illegal and called for immediate reinstatement of discharged dancers. The union, representing over 51,000 professional actors and stage managers, demands recognition as the dancers' official bargaining representative.

The iconic male dance show is relocating from its 20-year home at Rio Hotel & Casino to the Mat Franco Theater at The Linq starting January 14. Performances run Tuesday through Sunday, with double shows on Fridays and Saturdays.

Key Issues:

  • Performers claim they are significantly underpaid compared to other Las Vegas Strip entertainers
  • The union seeks "world-class" wages and benefits for the dancers
  • Chippendales Entertainment has reportedly refused to voluntarily recognize the union
  • The show maintains an active touring schedule, with 2025 dates planned from March through November

The NLRB is currently reviewing the complaint while the union continues to advocate for fair treatment and proper recognition of the dancers' organizing rights.
