bet365 Expands US Presence with Tennessee and Illinois Sports Betting Launches
bet365 has officially launched in Tennessee today, following its Illinois debut on Thursday, March 13. This expansion brings bet365's US presence to 13 states, marking significant growth for the international sports betting operator.
The company secured its Tennessee license from the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council in February 2025, joining 12 other approved operators in the state's online-only sports betting market. Tennessee's sports betting industry has shown strong performance, with nearly $1 billion in online bets and $17.6 million in tax revenue in the first two months of 2025.

In Illinois, bet365 operates through a partnership with Walker's Bluff Casino Resort, which received both a master sports betting license and management service provider license in December 2024. The Illinois market, which generated over $13.5 billion in handle during 2024, represents a significant opportunity for bet365.
The timing of these launches is strategic, coming just before the NCAA March Madness tournaments beginning March 18. Tennessee Sports Wagering Council's director of engagement, David Smith, confirmed that bet365 had planned to launch before the tournament's start.
For new users in both states, bet365 is offering its signature welcome bonus of up to $1,000 back, which can be used for March Madness betting and other sports events.
