Scott Ball Files $30M Lawsuit Against ACR Poker Over Contract Breach, Alleged Defamation
Scott Ball, a poker player and talent agent, has filed a $30 million lawsuit against ACR Poker for breach of contract and defamation. The lawsuit, filed in San Diego Superior Court, specifically names ACR Poker owner Phil Nagy.

Ball, who runs End Game Talent agency and is a two-time WSOP bracelet winner, claims that social media influencers represented by his agency were never compensated for promoting the poker platform, formerly known as America's Card Room.
The contract details reveal:
- Total value: $29.7 million
- Structure: Nine monthly installments of $3.3 million
- Period: June 1, 2023 to April 1, 2024
- Actual payments received: Only three $1.1 million installments in bitcoin
The defamation claim stems from Nagy's appearance on the Only Friends Podcast in August, where he allegedly made false statements suggesting Ball failed to pay the influencers. Following the podcast, Nagy reportedly challenged Ball to "sue me" in a text exchange.
Notable influencers affected include:
- Ludwig Ahgren (esports YouTuber)
- Alexandra Botez (poker and chess streamer)
The situation has led to further legal complications, with Ball facing a separate lawsuit from Loaded, a Los Angeles management firm. Loaded secured a default judgment for $718,331, which Ball claims he cannot settle due to ACR's alleged nonpayment.
Ball seeks:
- Minimum $30 million in damages
- Restitution for unjust enrichment
- Legal fees
- Damages for defamation and trade libel
