Las Vegas Raiders' defensive end Charles Snowden III was arrested Tuesday morning on DUI charges in Las Vegas, according to Nevada Justice Court records. This marks Snowden's first DUI offense.

The 26-year-old player was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and subsequently released. He wasn't required to appear in court, post bond, or attend a probable cause hearing.

Under Nevada law, the misdemeanor charge carries a potential six-month prison sentence. If found with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.18% or higher, Snowden would be required to complete a mandatory treatment program.

Las Vegas police made the arrest after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Snowden's exact blood alcohol level has not been disclosed.

Currently in his second season with the Raiders, Snowden has played all 13 games this season, starting seven, and recorded 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He joined the Raiders' practice squad last December after stints with the Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The arrest raises questions about Snowden's future with the Raiders, who have taken a strict stance on DUI incidents. Last year, the team released safety Roderic Teamer just one day after his DUI arrest. The organization has been particularly sensitive to drunk driving incidents following the 2021 case of Henry Ruggs, whose drunk driving resulted in the death of 23-year-old Tina Tintor and her dog.

The Raiders have not responded to requests for comment, and it's unclear whether Snowden participated in Wednesday's team walkthrough.
