National Gambling Survey Reveals American Attitudes and Behaviors Toward Betting
The National Survey on Gambling Attitudes and Gambling Experiences (NGAGE) provides crucial data about gambling behaviors and attitudes in America. These surveys help increase public awareness and guide the development of problem gambling prevention programs.
The NGAGE survey series consists of two major studies:
NGAGE 1.0 (2018)
- Initial baseline study conducted following the Supreme Court's Murphy case ruling
- Measured gambling extent in the US before sports betting expansion
NGAGE 2.0 (2021)
- Follow-up study to track changes in national gambling attitudes
- Compares results with 2018 baseline data

- Monitor public opinions about gambling addiction
Important Note: NGAGE surveys are not designed to measure gambling addiction prevalence rates.
