Major Robux Gambling Sites Shut Down Following Sky News Investigation
A major crackdown on illegal Roblox gambling platforms occurred following a Sky News investigation, with three of the largest "Robux casinos" - BloxFlip, Bloxmoon, and RBLXWild - ceasing operations immediately after the exposé.

The investigation revealed these platforms were enabling children as young as 12 to gamble using Robux, Roblox's in-game currency, on casino-style games including slots and blackjack. While the sites claimed to require users to be over 18, they lacked proper age verification systems, allowing anyone with Roblox credentials to participate.
The scale of these operations was significant, with the three platforms collectively attracting approximately 2.8 million monthly visitors and processing millions in bets. Players could convert their winnings into cryptocurrency and subsequently into real money.
Roblox's massive user base includes over 164 million active users, with 60% under age 16 and 22% under age 9, according to a 2022 SEC filing. This demographic vulnerability has raised serious concerns about the gambling operations targeting young users.
BloxFlip was the first to announce its shutdown, claiming compliance with legal guidelines but citing pressure from Roblox's legal team. Bloxmoon and RBLXWild quickly followed suit.
A class-action lawsuit in Northern California alleges Roblox Corporation's involvement in facilitating these gambling operations and profiting from them, despite the company's statement to The Sun denying any endorsement of these third-party websites and welcoming law enforcement action against such platforms.
