F1's Las Vegas Grand Prix attendance figures show a significant discrepancy between 2023 and 2024. This year's permit application estimates 102,000 spectators over five days (November 20-24), compared to last year's reported 315,000 over three days.

LVGP CEO Renee Wilm acknowledged lower ticket revenues than initially budgeted, with prices seeing substantial reductions. The West Harmon Grandstand three-day package dropped from $1,200 to $672, while top-tier packages now average $2,689, down from $4,624 in 2023.

F1 has not clarified whether last year's numbers were inflated or if fewer tickets are available this year. This raises questions about the accuracy of Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei's claim of a $1.7 billion economic impact on Las Vegas in 2023.

The event's economic benefits appear concentrated among select Strip properties, primarily MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, Wynn Resorts, and the Venetian. Other businesses reportedly experienced negative impacts due to reduced tourist access during race week.

Clark County actually lost money on the event, with $4.4 million in staff costs exceeding the $3.8 million in tax revenue, resulting in a $463,000 deficit. With F1's three-year agreement with Clark County, speculation grows about 2025 potentially being the final year for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
