Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol celebrated a record-breaking debut in November, generating over $18 million in gaming revenue during its first two weeks of operation. The $515 million permanent resort, which opened on November 14, attracted more than 100,000 visitors in just 17 days.

The opening weekend alone drew 58,000 guests, featuring a performance by country music star Blake Shelton. The casino's 1,408 slot machines generated $15.5 million in revenue, while 62 live dealer table games contributed an additional $2.6 million.
The 303-room hotel commanded premium rates during its debut, with rooms starting at $599 per night plus taxes and resort fees. Despite the steep pricing, the hotel reached full occupancy during the opening weekend.
This performance surpassed the property's previous monthly record of $16.3 million set in March 2024 at its temporary facility, which operated from April 2022 until November 11, 2024.
The casino's success has brought significant economic benefits to Bristol, creating over 1,000 jobs with above-average wages. The local government receives 6% of monthly gaming revenue, which amounted to more than $1 million in November alone.
In comparison, Virginia's other casino properties also showed strong performance in November:
- Rivers Casino Portsmouth: $25.7 million
- Caesars Virginia (temporary facility): $19.7 million
Caesars Virginia is set to open its permanent $750 million facility on December 17, with initial room rates ranging from $499 to $1,000 per night, demonstrating continued strong demand in the Virginia gaming market.
