The Gift Responsibly Campaign operates at multiple engagement levels to accommodate organizations of varying capacities. All U.S. and Canadian lotteries have consistently participated for the past five years, alongside numerous international and non-lottery organizations.

Lottery Level 3

  • Full campaign participation with extensive outreach
  • Activities include press releases, 11+ social media posts, retailer training
  • Requires TV/radio commercials and editorial media pitches
  • Participants include 15 major state lotteries including California, Florida, and Texas

Lottery Level 2

  • Moderate campaign engagement
  • Includes press releases, 8+ social media posts, retailer training
  • Requires print/digital advertising
  • 14 participants including international lotteries from UK, Bulgaria, and Ireland

Lottery Level 1

  • Basic campaign participation
  • Features press releases and 4+ social media posts
  • 27 participants including Canadian provincial lotteries and U.S. state lotteries

Non-Lottery Participants

  • Tailored for supporting organizations
  • Requires press releases and 4+ social media posts
  • Over 70 participants including:
    • Addiction treatment centers
    • Healthcare providers
    • Gaming companies
    • Community service organizations
    • State health departments
    • Problem gambling organizations

All participation levels require:

  • Campaign registration
  • Educational messaging about youth gambling risks
  • Post-campaign survey completion
  • Implementation during November-December 2024

The campaign maintains strong participation across all levels, demonstrating industry-wide commitment to responsible gaming practices and youth gambling prevention.
