Former Light & Wonder Executive Claims He Was Asked to Falsify Financial Reports
A former Light & Wonder executive claims he was terminated after refusing to alter financial reports at the gaming manufacturer's request. Antonio Amormino, the company's former head of casino studio for North America, filed a whistleblower lawsuit in Oakland County, Michigan Circuit Court.

According to the legal complaint, Vice President of Operations Dror Damchinsky asked Amormino to modify budget files and capital asset reports in July 2023, potentially misrepresenting the company's financial condition. Amormino refused, warning that such actions could violate the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), which promotes financial transparency in public companies.
After reporting the incidents to accounting head Vickie Huber and office manager Melissa Sly, Amormino filed a complaint with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on August 12. He was dismissed four days later, which his attorneys argue was retaliatory and violates Michigan's Whistleblower Protection Act.
Light & Wonder denies the allegations and has filed a motion to dismiss the case, which has been moved to the federal Michigan Eastern District Court. The company contends that:
- They were unaware of the OSHA complaint until after Amormino's termination
- OSHA complaints aren't covered under Michigan whistleblower laws
- Amormino waived jury trial rights in his employment agreement
The company stated it is "vigorously defending itself through appropriate legal channels" against these allegations.
