General Manager Chris Albrecht acknowledged the public's excitement and requested patience during this brief delay. The resort is actively contacting guests with existing reservations to arrange rescheduling or refunds.

The property will feature:

  • 1,500 slot machines
  • 79 live dealer table games
  • Caesars Sportsbook
  • World Series of Poker Room

Opening festivities will include:

  • First bet placed by Dennis Rodman at Caesars Sportsbook
  • Fireworks display featuring the historic Three Sisters smokestacks

Room rates start at $999 for opening week, with prices adjusting in 2024:

  • Weekday rates from $299
  • Weekend rates from $599

Caesars Virginia will become Virginia's third permanent resort casino, following Rivers Casino Portsmouth and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol. The property is fully booked from December 17-20, with many rooms likely reserved for VIP guests and Caesars Rewards members.

For comparison, local accommodations like the Hampton Inn (rated 8.8/10 on Kayak) offer rooms at $183 per night including taxes and fees, highlighting the premium pricing strategy of the new casino resort.
