Oshae Pollard, 21, allegedly committed four violent robberies between August 25 and September 22, 2023. The crime spree began at Hustler Casino, where he allegedly attacked a female victim in the parking lot, shoving a semi-automatic pistol in her mouth and breaking several teeth before stealing her purse containing $1,000-$2,000.

The following day, Pollard and an accomplice allegedly robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Carson. Later that same day, they targeted luxury car owners at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, stealing items worth $44,000 and firing shots at a Ferrari.

The final incident occurred at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, where Pollard allegedly shot a victim twice - in the hand and thigh - during an attempted robbery. The victim fought back, kicking Pollard repeatedly before the suspect fled in a Kia Forte.

Pollard is charged with interference with commerce by robbery and use of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada emphasized the shocking nature of these crimes, stating that his office is working with local law enforcement through the Operation Safe Cities initiative to target violent gun crime offenders.

If convicted, Pollard faces significant prison time for these violent crimes that occurred across Los Angeles and Orange counties.
